The App needs to be downloaded and you have to sign in using your cellphone number or eMail, and I would suggest signing in using an eMail account for more security.
This service can work over WiFi or cellular but can also work if both of these services have been turned off for what ever reason. These services have been turned off by governing bodies for a lot of different reasons.
This service is excellent and also uses what is called Peer-To-Peer networking. It uses WiFi and BlueTooth combined even though you may not have a WiFi connection. It can work over a short distance and each device acts as a receiver and transmitter relaying the signal on to the next device. If enough devices are relaying the signal and one device has Internet connectivity then all devices have Internet access. This service can be used as a relay service way back in the never never land out to the more civilized world of us nerds.
At the moment I would just like to use this service as a means of communication of people liking to understand the iPad and iPhone better by getting a lot of people’s ideas in one place.
Use the chat room #TheGoodAppleClub and you will find me there as goodappleclub with an Apple as my iCon. You can click the Apple and follow me if you wish and after you follow me we could have Private Chats. Private chats are encrypted and there could also be a private group chat as well. All chats in #TheGoodAppleClub are public chats meaning the whole world can see them.
First I would suggest visiting http://opengarden.com/how-to/ before even downloading this App. I believe you will be very pleased and I hope to see you in our newly formed instance messaging chat group called #TheGoodAppleClub.
Thank you, Roy Frost
